Student status and course enrollment status

These statuses describe different things:

StatusWhat it describes
Student statusThe student's overall relationship with the school.
Enrollment statusThe student's participation in one particular live course.

A student's school-level status is separate from each course enrollment. For example, a student can have an overall Active status and still have a Pending enrollment in a particular course.

When you register a student, the registration wizard creates the student record and a separate enrollment for the selected course. The wizard's enrollment status choices are Active and Pending.

Status options and available actions can depend on the screen and your permissions. If a status or action you expect is missing, ask your administrator to check the current workflow before changing the student's record.
